5.0 out of 5 stars easily the best steel toe, steel shank shoes, April 8, 2011

I have wide feet and I was delighted when a 7-1/2 double wide steel toe, steel shank shoes were available. The shoes feel much lighter than my previous work shoes and they look like dress shoes. That is, they are not boots and they do not look like tennis shoes. I am an civil engineer who spends time in the field and the office. I love these shoes because I can wear them for both office and field environments. I can also wear them to a grocery store or whereever I go without other people noticing that I am wearing work shoes. The comfort level is very close to my regular dress shoes. The shoes flexes well for shoes with a steel shank and when these shoes get worn, I will definitely buy the exact same shoes. Please note that they are not boots so blue collar workers may find these shoes not heavy duty enough for heavy field work. However, for light field work, these shoes are five stars.

3.0 out of 5 stars WORX, January 30, 2010

Not recommended. For the price, they're heavy, bulky, and the "nonmetallic" safety toe throws the foot out of balance. After one day my big toe had a welt on it from the ill fit. The sole, though good for traction and grip, is not what I would call "non-marking" as it left black streaks on my shop floor. Try the Dockers.

4.0 out of 5 stars GOOD work shoe, December 22, 2008
This shoe quality far exceeds the one that my employer offers. The price seems reasonable and the item arrived much faster than anticipated.
