I do a lot of heavy labor in construction ranging over almost every field. I do domestic and irrigation pumps, build houses, electrical, plumbing, sewer..everything. These boots took about three days to break in enough where they weren't killing my feet. As a note to future buyers, the first couple days were killer on my ankle bones. In fact, i thought i was going to have to return them. I decided to ride it out and they now fit comfortably to my feet. I did some extensive research to find who has the most durable, comfortable steel toe work boot. Over and over, the Red Wing brand beat out the competition. My husband said these are by far the most comfortable pair of work boots he's ever owned; AFTER he wore them in a bit. There was an area on each boot by the ankle that felt like a lump on the inside making it painful at times. He doubled up his socks, wore them in a while longer and has not had any issues since. He said the bottom of the boot feels like it has that memory foam material and considering he's on his feet 10+ hours a day, he loves them!
