These boots are made in America by an American company so you know that they're made to last. I was sick of walking in the snow and having my tennis shoes get wet, and paying $90 for something that lasted maybe a year. So I decided to purchase these boots, they're made out of quality leather and canvas. Once you break the sole in these will be your favorite pair of shoes with jeans or khakis.

I have had these boots for about 6 months and I'm extremely happy with my purchase. I have never spent 240 dollars on a pair of boots but I can see why these boots carry such a price tag. These boots are perfect for walking around town more then shoveling the drive as the soles have a pretty shallow tread. The quality of the leather is second to none. Plus you have the extra pride of wearing something made in the USA.

These shoes were great for 9 months, then small holes began to appear at the corners of the waxed canvas upper. Now after 18 months of use these holes have grown to over an inch in length on each boot. In addition to the canvas wearing out, the leather is starting to deteriorate significantly around the soles and I now need to buy new boots. At the price tag north of $200 I expected these to last for a longer duration. I contacted Red Wing, sent them photos, described my concerns, and they offered no assistance.

These may be OK as a shoe that you occasionally wear, but don't get these as your daily shoe, they'll deteriorate quickly.
