As you expect from Red Wing, this is a shoe that shows appreciation to detail, technique, and craftsmanship that comes from workers who have been in this field for 20-30 years. However, there are a couple issues that would been adventaous to know before I purchased a pair.

1) 1/2 Size Difference -- The Red Wing shoe size is 1/2 bigger than my normal shoe. My original Red Wing pair caused excessive rubbing to my heel against the shoe's back soles. Thus, I had to exchange my original pair for a 1/2 smaller size which cost an extra $4.95. Exchange shipping is exceptionally quick and a new pair arrived in 2 days.

2) Breaking-in time -- Due to the shoe's leather construction, the shoe is stiff and rigid. When I first placed these shoes on my foot, I could not believe these were size E width due to the tightness. After a few days of wear, the leather is beginning to mold to my foot.
