The fit was true, and the boots are very comfortable. They breathe well on summer days and make an ideal go-into-town-on-Saturday pair of boots. They would seemt to make good work boots, but of course are not safety-toe. But these just appealed to me, and after much contemplation figured I'd take the plunge because the price was right. SO GLAD I did! The quality of the leather is amazing, they are comfy, and the fit is pretty good (I'm an 8.5 in women's and normally would wear a men's 7, but took a 6.5 in this boot since the word on the street was that they run large) I only wish there was a little more of a shock padding on the inside-- you really need to customize the foot bed with inserts, as it's a pretty straight-forward "manly boot" with no frills. Especially if you are used to wearing Vans or other sneakers with cushion. All in all, the boots are AWESOME and I personally think they are super chic for men AND women! Now if they only made them in black, red, blue. . . .
