I have owned many Red Wing work boots and thought since I could wear sneakers at my current job I would buy this brand since they were always built to last. I received these the shoes from amazon lighting fast as usual. After receiving these I discovered that they are rather heavy, heavier than some of there boots that I own, but I am giving them a chance anyhow. I wore them to work right out of the box, I work 12 hour days and they worked beautifully for about 3 weeks, now the insoles have wore out already. I am going to put other insoles in these shoes, because the outside is holding up beautifully and I do punish them hopefully with good insoles I will get lots more use out of them. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Amazing shoes, The only problems I've had with the boots are the finish and the laces. The black finish wears off fairly easily, leaving the gray leather exposed. It's happened on both of the boots, with the finish wearing completely off the toes and starting to wear off in other places. It's not too big a deal to me, I just keep a second pair in my locker at work and switch to those for the "formal"... Read more |
