The leather is thick and heavy duty, the color and design are a timeless classic, and the construction appears to be top notch. I got them back in August and while the first couple of weeks were tough as I broke them in. (And they broke ME in.) they are now my favorite pair of shoes. They're all broken in and the leather feels great. They look outstanding with a pair of jeans and I get compliments on them constantly. I live in New York and there's nothing harder on a pair of shoes than subway stairs. It's hard to have nice shoes here that don't get the toes scuffed up pretty badly. When the inevitable began, at first I was sad to see those first few scratches in the pristine leather. But then, after a while, the scuffs actually added tremendous character to the boots and they look even better as they're getting broken in. Great boots. Highly recommended. Second, there is no insole, so you must purchase one, and I recommend a good one. Third, scratches often show up as darker on this tan color, especially when wet. Overall, these are very nicely made boots. |
