Beautiful shoes, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Red Wing Heritage Men's Beckman Oxford Shoe (Apparel) This pair of shoes is well constructed and fits well. Leather is a bit heavy, but shiny and strong enough to last long. Shoes are too hard to wear when I got, but after 1 week they became broken in and fit my feet. Now they are comfortable to wear. The price is not so affordable, but I feel this shoes is worth buying. Good Product, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Red Wing Heritage Men's Beckman Oxford Shoe (Apparel) Overall, I really like this shoe. Be prepared to go through a period where the shoe is slightly uncomfortable as it takes some time to break in. After that, this is one of the most comfortable shoes I have owned. The shoe fits true to the sizing guide and polishes up really nice. My only complaint on the shoe is that it is showing wear on the heel and toe faster than I would have liked. 4 of 8 people found the following review helpful nice appearance, poor quality control, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Red Wing Heritage Men's Beckman Oxford Shoe (Apparel) Was excited to receive these shoes, would have been my first Red Wing purchase and I always like to support American made goods. Great appearance, solid construction. Very stiff when I tried them on but that's what I expected, that they would need substantial break-in. But then I looked in the mirror and noticed the left looked very different than the right. The left shoe appeared to be "leaning in" more than the right. I took them off and measured and found that the upper portion of the leather was sewn to the bottom portion very differently, probably 1/4" different. Doesn't sound like much but very noticeable, and these are $300 shoes! At that price, and American made, I expected better - will be returning. |
