Allen-Edmunds does a great job as well, making fine shoes. So does Gibson Guitars; guitars not shoes; the Feds tried to shut them down, too. So I went and bought a couple of nice Made In USA (Nashville) guitars. But the Wallstreet Mafia want to empty out America just like any other country they have pillaged and so have given monetary incentives to have almost all manufacturing sent overseas. Oh yes, the shoes: Get these before Red Wing is crushed by onerous taxation, "environmental" extortionate laws, and other disincentives to produce basic goods in the USA. This particular model is the essence of Americana. So, since the America we knew up until around the late 1970s is long gone, these zapatos (oops, chooze) will be a nostalgic walk down mammary lane for you.
